The Air Force 1 has many names, one of which is “Uptown,” named by the people of Harlem themselves. It is their way of staking their claim and establishing that the notoriety the shoe has is due to them. The stamp depicts a train conductor yelling at the top of his voice to New Yorkers to get on board the “Uptown” train.
