"This is the story of science and invention,” started the 1955 Looney Tunes episode, “The Hole Idea.” Professor Calvin Q. Calculus is striving to make the world a better place. “EUREKA!” exclaims the professor as he calls his wife Gertrude to share his excitement. He’s half her size, old and the cutest professor you’ll ever see. He’s just invented a “portable hole.” Gertrude however, has had enough of his “silly” inventions and scolds him with a wagging finger.

Luckily, the professor goes on to get the attention he deserves with the “portable hole.” Hooray! It’s perfect for escaping household chores. It makes a dog's life easier as they can hide bones and it is perfect for rescuing a baby from a bank safe. As you can see, Gertrude was wrong. There are many wonderful uses.

With euphoria surround the invention, a bad guy steals the portable hole from the professor while he sleeps. He did what you expect, robbing everything his greedy hands could get a hold of. The news reports a “holey terror,” and the bad guy becomes the most wanted in the world. Chased by every police officer, he uses all the portable holes in his escape but accidentally winds up transporting to jail. Bad luck.
“Good! Crime does not pay,” the professor says while reading the morning news.

Gertrude heard him from the other room. Storming in, “do you know what is a crime?” Here comes the wagging finger. “This house is not big enough for the two of us!”
Professor throws his portable hole in her path taking her to... hell! And the devils returns her, “isn’t bad enough down here?”

The portable hole features first in 1955 and again in Space Jam (1996), transporting Michael Jordan into Looney Tunes world. Although I have never seen this link called out, you can see the similarity.
For the Air Jordan 11 "Space Jam" stamp, there is a nod to the likeness and the stamp is stylised similarly to The Looney Tunes opening titles from 1955. I've titled this one, "fixing a divot," which I hope you remember well.
