Nike Air MAG
Featuring in Back to the Future, the Nike Air MAG became a cultural icon among sneakerheads. In 2011, Nike brought the pair from the future, to reality via auction, supporting the Michael J. Fox Foundation for Parkinson's Research.
This was beautiful and is what inspired this stamp.
I don't know much if anything at all about Parkinson's disease but for this stamp, I wanted it reflected. In researching for how I could illustrate this stamp, I found people with PD don't produce enough dopamine in their brains which plays an important role in sending messages to the part of the brain that controls movement and coordination. To treat and help, some medication is used to block the chemicals that breaks down dopamine to slow the progression, which is what I've tried to illustrate here.
