PUMA Disc Blaze “Orca.”
In 2015, Monkeytime collaborated on an all black and white, Japan exclusive, premium material, PUMA DISC blaze, dubbed the “Orca.” To repeat, JAPAN EXCLUSIVE.
PUMA's DISC range had a marketing title of "Turn it on" because the lacing system required the wearer to turn the dial to tighten. The technology served athletes well. Heike Drechsler wore them in Barcelona in 1992, winning Olympic gold in the long jump. Later in 1993, Colin Jackson wore them during the World Championships in Stuttgart, Germany. In doing so, he broke the World Record and won gold in the 110m hurdle race.
The DISC itself depicted two arrows following each other which I’ve illustrated two Orcas instead.
